A-FAN Launches Statewide Radio Campaign

The Alliance for the Future of Agriculture in Nebraska (A-FAN) has launched a new radio campaign that illustrates the power of getting community leaders to actually see—and smell—modern livestock production for themselves.

The campaign consists of three different 60-second radio spots featuring taped comments from Willow Holoubek, Butler County economic development official; and Ken Shriver, a planning and zoning commissioner from Stanton County. Both were on bus tours recently organized by A-FAN and its supporters—and both eloquently convey the positive change in perceptions that came about as a result of having community leaders actually set foot on livestock facilities.

The radio commercials will run Monday through Friday from October 3-23 during key farm times on the following radio stations across Nebraska:

  • WJAG (Norfolk)
  • KNEB (Scottsbluff)
  • KTIC (West Point)
  • KRVN (Lexington)
  • KZEN (Columbus)
  • KOGA (Ogallala)
  • Brownfield Network*
*Brownfield Network includes stations in Ainsworth, Broken Bow, Fairbury, Falls City, Fremont, Hastings, Holdrege, Imperial Kearney, McCook, Norfolk, North Platte, O’Neill, Scottsbluff, Sidney, Superior and Wayne.

Special thanks to the Nebraska Soybean Board for their financial support, which has made this statewide fall radio campaign possible. NSB was also a key sponsor of the bus tours earlier this year.
