The Alliance for the Future of Agriculture in Nebraska (A-FAN) is a
non-profit organization formed by leading agricultural membership
groups in Nebraska—the Nebraska Cattlemen, Nebraska Corn Growers
Association, Nebraska Farm Bureau Federation, Nebraska Pork Producers
Association, Nebraska Poultry Industries, and Nebraska Soybean
Association. These groups understand that livestock production is a
critical component to Nebraska’s future—providing vitality and
opportunity for rural communities, adding value to Nebraska’s
agricultural output and energizing the economy of the entire state.
With
the support of other membership groups, commodity organizations, and
private business, A-FAN works with individual producers and communities
across Nebraska to encourage the development of environmentally
responsible and economically viable livestock production in the state.
The A-FAN Mission
To
ensure the continued viability and opportunity for growth of Nebraska
agriculture into the future through coordinated outreach, promotional
and educational efforts.
The A-FAN Purpose
To
assist farmers seeking to make responsible changes to their farms to
remain economically viable, and to share with Nebraskans a truthful
representation of farm life and the connection between it and
Nebraska’s economic and social well-being.
A-FAN Goals
A-FAN has three primary goals:
To empower farmers and ranchers to share accurate information about food production and its importance.
To communicate the connection between farm life and Nebraska’s economic and social well-being.
To actively engage and counter those who do not tell the truth about animal agriculture and food production.
